Hey! I can recall! Isn't it something like .. what VSNL used to use it for
GEMS - Gateway Access eMail Services .. the one started, a little before the
launch of its Internet services .. charging 5 bucks for a domestic
destination email and international rates were higher .. heck it was
expensive!
