Hi,
I don't think you will have any probs installing Redhat on a 40 GB disk. The
usual problem that people are seen facing is with Lilo. I have Mandrake
which cribs when I try installing Lilo but Grub works fine even beyond the
1024 cylinder limit. The other way round is to make a /boot partition below
the 1024 cylinders.
