Hi,

Those of u who are on debian must be knowing that there is a tool in debian
called modconf to select the modules to be loaded on startup. Debian 2.2
modconf is for kernel 2.2 which will not work on 2.4. Now there is a new
modconf package of 2.4.x.

Put the following in /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://people.debian.org/~bunk/debian potato main

and then do

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

and than u will be able to use this new modconf with kernel 2.4.x

Warm Regards
