 One can use rpmfind.net though. Anyway rpmfind also keeps a huge xml
(rdf) document, with all the "dependancies", "provides", "files" together
with a host of ftp servers ( punintentional ).

Redhat mirrors only the redhat's part. Infact the utility rpmfind is
suposed to query these online databases to find out which rpms to download
and from where.

 Apt-get must be doing a similar thing i guess
