RedHat requires you to do a free registration or add your workstation to a existing registration. What happens is that they dont allow you to use up2date on more than one machine per signup. If you use up2date for personal use they assume that you would have a single PC and you get to use it as many times as you wish. Now if you are a sysadmin you obviously have better things to do than create 20 id's for each workstation. In that case you also have a company sitting behind you who can dole out the subscription charge for n-1 workstations.
