none that i hav heard of is really up to the mark.
Some of the stuff we've used is WingZ and
Gnucash......-), but considerin the custom financial
operations that make use of our Indianised business
processes out here i guess the only soln's for u to go
in for a custom developed app.

Just recently i worked on some stuff that we techies
call Thin clients. The isue out here is either u can
build them urselves usin 20 dumb assembled boxes from
the assembled market, u could make use of the numerous
Open Source projects out there. some of them which
will aid u in ur soln r etherboot.
To be much more profesional and if u insist on
spendin more dough. I would suggest u go in for th
winbee from HP. It's a real cewl Thin CLient and boots
off a Linux Server. Check it out. Probably apart from
this there r othere also avalable that support Linux.

If u think MySQL is only for ur Web Services then u
better check out POSTGRESQL. It rock's for such an
implementation as ur's.
