I have a pc with a 8 gb disc in partitions as follows:

hda1 win95 vfat
hda5 win95 vfat
hda6 win95 vfat
hda7 linux swap
hda8 linux native.

hda1 was c:, hda5 was d: and hda6 was e: under windoze. hda7 & hda8 were f:
which I deleted and used to load rh 6.2.

I had a dual boot with win98 and pcq rh 6.2. I wanted to load one more linux
distro (Debian) so what I did was deleted hda6 from cfdisk so as to convert
it to ext2 partition.

What now happened was that the partition that was previously hda8 (linux
native with rh6.2) now got marked as hda6 and the new partition that I
created became hda8 (which used to be hda6 (ie win98 E: )) .

Anyway I went ahead and loaded Debian on the new hda8. after it was loaded I
could boot into debian and then decided to add the entry for rh 6.2 in
lilo.conf of debian so as to be able to load either rh or debian. I made the
entries for rh in the lilo.conf file, ran lilo and got the following error:

Fatal: First sector of /dev/hda6 doesn't have a valid boot signature.

What does this error mean ? So now what should be my next step ? I hope I
don't sound confusing but I can clarify anything you may want to know.

Sharukh.
