Hello ,
I have this question we have developed an
application where the data requested by the app
resides on the same nt machine with the app server.
now the client want to shift the oracle server to
linux
or solaris, our domain has only nt workstation and a
server. with the linux machine where i an installing
oracle who would my app server on win nt communicate
to get the data and give it to the display layer that
is the server or jsp. we do not have a dns server.
eg :
a servlet on winnt tries to get data from linux
oracle. now how does he try what can be connectivity
b/w two diffrent os. please guide.
