Hi all,

I am using WinMe and Redhat Linux7.0 as my OSs. The monitor screen is
set for Gnome Desktop (which is the default) after installing Linux. As
a result the WinME desktop, for which I had set monitor before
installing Linux, shifted a little bit towards left beyond the viewable
area of the screen. After I had booted WinME and reset the monitor for
it's desktop, the next time Gnome desktop has shifted a little bit
towards right. Is there any remedy for this so that both the desktops
can be set inside the viewable area of the screen. Also I want to use
the maximum viewable area of the screen for both desktops.

The screen resolution that I use for both desktops is 1280*1024 at 16
bit.
  My monitor -> Daewoo 710B , 17"
My AGP card -> i740 (intel 740 with 3D acceleration and 8MB memory)

Help me at the earliest if anybody has the solution.

I have heard that there are software's for windows which automatically
sets the windows desktop whenever windows boots up. I have a software
called 3DTurbo.... for windows which can set the monitor. But the
problem with it is that I have to start the program each time after
loading windows and use its control buttons to reset the monitor screen
(ie. the program cannot save the screen settings). So please let me know
of any software's which automatically starts when windows boots up and
set the the screen as per its saved settings and also from where can I
get the software.

     Thanking everybody,

           Praveen.
