They somehow seem to have a database where all the cities, zip codes,
streets (I don' think housenumbers and names) are stored - from Germany,
Switzerland and Austria. I ones wanted to have an anonymous address so I
just wrote crap (german non existing address) into the preferences. Now
they checked it somehow - not only mine - it was a small scandal in Germany
- people thought gmx would now make real money of their addresses, etc. I
tried to put any existing address in the mail options - only wasn't sure
about the zip code and they never accepted <<address couldn't be found - if
it is a new street please send us a personal confirmation with your
signature>> whoooo! I wrote them a mail back that I move to india - they
only allow you to (they say at the moment) change the address to a German,
Swiss or Austrian one. I wonder when they'll be indexing whole india with
all it's different housenumbers ;-). So - can't help them cause I moved
abroad ;-).

Tom

P.S. don't really know which <<particular feature>> you mean but will just
check my mail options
