Hi All,
Yesterday I installed mtv player on my linux box
with i810 M/B and RHL 7.1. I was able to watch the
movie minus the sound. Earlier with RHL 6.2 and alsa
drivers I could watch movie with sound.
What could have gone wrong ? Is it something to do
with PCM vs OSS sound drivers.( Had read something
about it long time back, dont remember if PCM is the
correct abbreviation.)Is the drivers being used by RHL
7.1 for AC 97 sound different from that of alsa ?
Problem with sound connector from CDROM to M/B is
ruled out as I can listen to music from CD's.
Secondly I was not able to get the full screen even
though I had installed the extensions for same. Not
even as root.
