are you able to play mp3z ? (I don't think CD Audio is routed via
/dev/audio)
anyways check out mplayer.sourceforge.net... you can watch all the movies
you need(CD and DVD) and avi's and DivX too! and unlike mtv it's *free* !

PCM is not a driver... it's a mixer or something like that.. /dev/dsp
(so u have ur addreviation wrong!)
(I would say install alsa.. /me loves the alsamixer! )

Don't know about that... but try mplayer it has many different options for
fullscreen ! you can even get fullscreen without root or suid !
