I have been using reiser for last year or so, I always had to "mkinitrd" -
not sure if its because reiser was a Module, but as far as i recollect i even
had to do it even if set as part of the kernel - but then again not too sure.
The impression i got those days was for SCSI/ reiserfs - do a mkinitrd - but
those are 2.3x days when reiser was an add on.
These days, my /boot is ext2, rest are reiser so i have not bothered much
about the problem.
