I was also following the DNS thread :-)
I have not changed anything in /etc/ppp/options. This problem has suddenly
started for the last 2 days.
By the way there is no usepeerdns in /etc/ppp/options
debian:/etc/ppp# grep usepeerdns options
debian:/etc/ppp#
