"garbage stuff" means all the technical data that is automatically generated
while sending the mail in my school LAN. I think this data is not shown up in
LIH list messages. A sample of this data is given below:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
[-- Attachment #3 --]
[-- Type message/rfc822, encoding : 7bit, Size: 0.4K --]
Return-Path: <username>
Received: (from username@localhost)

To: root <root@localhost>
Subject: test 3

hi sir !
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, for ordinary mail-reciever like my school teacher for example, only the
Date, From, To, Subject and the Message body are of any relevance, rest of the
matter is confusing. Mail receiver should only receive Date, From, To, Subject
and the Message body. That's what I mean !

Sorry, I do'nt have .muttrc file, I guess. At-least "find-file" from "mc"
did'nt find it.
But I do have Muttrc file in ./ . Any-thing wrong ? If so, how my local mail
on the same console is working ? Possible ?

mutt-1.0.1i-6 distributed on PCQ issue of RH6.2

Other s/ware versions are :
Linux 2.2.14-12
gcc egcs-2.91.66 1990314/Linux (egcs-1-1.2)
fetchmail-5.3.1-1
sendmail-8.9.3-20
OPL3-SAx (YMF719)
PPP: v 2.3.7(demand dialing)

( By the way, what data should one provide while sending a query to get a
better response from the list ?.)

I do'nt want to ! That's why I have asked about it in follow. message thread
:
mutt in RH6.2 :Dnloading POP server messages
