yes quake III runs fine.atleast as good as it runs in windows on the same
hardware

well my friend,I guess he is refering to GL,and 3d support,but I dont think
acceleration is supported.in Xfree 3.x series hardware accel is available for
a few cards like 3dfx.but the DRI support is available only on 4.x series.and
the only 3.x drivers for i810 AFAIK are XF86_SVGA and XFCom_i810 (from
precision insight supported by intel),which itself does not support 3d
acceleration,but does support XAA.
