thanks for all those details! i'm still in the process of upgrading X,
kernel, and getting the i810 drivers, and will post more of my experiences
when things are running. btw, do you have QuakeIII running ?
but are you absolutely sure about the 2.2.14+XFree86-3.3.6 3d acceleration
thing ? A friend running SuSE6.4 claims to have 3d running with the i810.
i did check on the SuSe page and it does *claim* to have 3d support for
i810 with the utah-glx extensions; the SuSe6.4 carton says the same....
