It is  a bit difficult  to install nuclear powered  engines on
sail boats !

The error message says it all.  RH 7.1 is on kernel 2.4.x, and
would optimally  need 64mb+ of  memory. Even  32 mb will  be a
tight fit with lot of swap activity.

Upgrade system .... or stick to 2.2.x. For an old system where
full hardware support is provided  by an old kernel nothing is
actually gained by "upgrading".

If  you want  latest software  binaries and  libraries, it  is
recommended you go for Slackware 8 with kernel 2.2.19.
