Hi
For upgrading kde and some other stuff like
samba,Netscape. I had also faced the same problem. The
problem arises due to the fact that all related files
are not on the same CD.(for eg. libs etc.).The
workaround I did was copied all related files from CD
to dir on my hdd and then did an upgrade for all the
files in the dir.It worked perfectly well with no
dependency errors.
