rpm --erase the old abiword package (must be a custom rpm - and rpm checks
the date stamp, not the versions). Then reinstall abiword .9.2 (or whatever)

If the idiots would at least support opening and saving as RTF it'd be great
- rtf is a reasonably open and cross-platform format.

following setting needs to be put in your .muttrc
set editor="vim +':set textwidth=77' +':set wrap' +\`awk '/^$/
{print i+2; exit} {i++}' %s\` %s"
Join above lines with a space between last "/" and "{print"
