Hi,
That is what my question was.Why it happened?I have
three configs in kmail, 1) default, 2) vsnl, 3)
yahoo.I have used the vsnl configuration to send my
mail as I'm connected through my vsnl dial-up
account. When I open the mail stored in outbox the
sender there is marked as [EMAIL PROTECTED] it is
getting rejected by vsnl on my servername.
Anyway I would go through the url posted by suresh.
Secondly would sendmail be used even if I'm using
smtp???was just skimming through suresh's site.It
talks about sendmail configs where as kmail has two
options one sendmail & other smtp.
Regards

When you configure kmail, provide correct email id.
KMail sets From
header from
there(As with any good mail client) otherwise it picks
traditional unix
style
user@ host..
