Nothing in /etc/ppp/options Infact as I use the box as a dialin server also
with specified IPs on the 192.168.0 network, I have to comment the
respective lines from the concerned files.
Confirmed the pages are not being dished up by the Squid cache. I have
checked out with Board sites running on cgi as well as php. So that angle is
ruled out. I have checked another box with the same settings but dialing on
another number of the same ISP ( implementing CHAP) with a different
account. The result is the same. Same messages on the /var/log/messages and
same verbose output on wvdial. Data throughput is absolutely fine in both
directions. I have further, checked with phpNuke which is configured on
these boxes by another dialin connect from a different machine by the url
http://allottedIP/phpnuke/html/index.php and been served up subsequent php
generated pages. :)

Dax
