Hi Anand,
Nice to here from you. I am also in same position. In my 20 GB HDD i use 10
GB (5+5) for Win 98 and 10 GB for PCQ Linux 7.1. I got some virus and
formated C:\ and reinstalled windows. Now i can't boot to linux.
If you don't have boot disk follow these steps.
1) make a directory "linux" on c:\ [ie c:\linux\ ]
2) copy file loadlin.exe available in pcq CD1 dosutils directory to
c:\linux\
3) copy file vmlinuz available in pcq CD1 dosutils/autoboot/ directory to
c:\linux\
4) Create a Linux.bat file in c:\linux\ with following content
loadlin vmlinuz root=/dev/hda3 ro vga=normal
Run linux.bat to boot linux. If it won't boot try changing hda3 with
hda2,hda4,hda5, etc...I tryed and it work on hda3 for me. In other hda
numbers i get some kernal panic error.
After booting run
lilo -v
I have still some problens. I can't run lilo -v, getting some error (loged
as root) also can't getting graphical login screen. Login using command line
(ALT+F1).
Can any body have further solution.
Regards,
Yujin Boby
