Hello everybody, In our college, our professor has forgotten the root password in one of the Linux computers. And I am asked to fix it. I read somewhere that entering linux using 'linux single' is the way to do so. Assuming I enter linux in single user mode, then what do I do. If I do # passwd then will it not ask for the old one, which, of course is forgotten ? What do I do ?
