Is there something wrong in the RH-7.1 installation ? It seems too co-incidental that the exact problem was on the list 2 or 3 days ago ... with exactly the same options of Linux, Windows and Windows98 !!! It is probable that in the setup process two instances of "other" is being written for some reason ... Could you pl post your original /etc/lilo.conf ? The solution has already been told by Sridhar, viz. a) edit /etc/lilo.conf (remove one of the Windows option) b) run lilo -v after editing.
