Hello list, There was an idea floating some time back : To put the complete mails of the list/s on a CD and provide that to thos ewho want it. This will represent a ready knwoledge-base for all users, specially new users, to get help from the CD, which they can buy at a nominal charge.
On my part, I am ready to make the CD. I will have 2 CDs always ready with me for anyone who wants to buy them. We can keep a minimum cost (considering just the cost of CD + a minute charge towards writer) and anyone can take it. Perhaps, some other members can also keep 2 CDs with them at different locations, if possible (this I leave to others' initiative). We can make this CD with Linux India list and later can add other lists in it. My suggestion is that we begin the project in any case. Request to list admin: Where can I get the necessary material for this. Pl. give the url and I will d.load it.
