Hi List, I am facing a problem setting in Linux domain server. my Linux machine is eslab75 and domain is server91. i am setting the eslab75 as dns server. I configured to resolve the name of machine eslab21 which is a Linux machine in domain 21.
I followed all the steps mentioned in pcquest. http://www.pcquest.com/content/linux/handson/101071101.asp It is running however it contains entry of eslab21 as eslab21.server91(i want eslab21 to be of domain server21). If i ping eslab21.server91 it gives reply, but i want to give eslab21 only. so if it should be like if i ping eslab21, it should give reply and resolve to its address. Please guide me to solve this problem. If list admin allows me, i can send you the files in zip format to understand the settings.
