Hello 
   I  want to enable telnet , pop3 and FTP for my
linux box from other machines , i had checked out the

but I cannot find "inetd.conf" file /etc/directory , I
am using Red Hat 7.1 offical version. Now how to
disable "identd" server
  using "ntsysv" the " identd"  service is disabled at
starting  during booting

You will have to edit /etc/xinetd.d/telnet, /etc/xineted/wu-ftpd, /etc/xinet.d/ipop3d, 
/etc/xinetd.d/service-name in general and change 
the  "disable=yes" to "disable=no" or vice-versa to enable/disable that
service.
