The kernel 2.4 with SuSE (Professional Edtn) is perfectly OK. I am using this from the time it was released, I have faced no issues in particular. What is the problem faced by you?
In SuSE it is mk_initrd and not mkinitrd. I had configured my Motorola SM56 PCI Modem quite comfortably with SuSE, the links for which were provided a no. of times on this List. -Rupesh --- Rohit <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Slightly old context I know, but the problem is > relevant and I am not > going to buy another professional pack in a hurry. > So here goes. > > The kernel 2.4 with SuSE Linux 7.1 seems > uninstallable.
