If your machine was powered down by kernel before then you have set some option
swrongly for APM/ACPI and machine is not powering down itself. Anyway you can
treat this message as 'It's not safe to turn off your computer' in Win9X. Just
power down the machine.
But I wonder why power down button doesn't work here. Shouldn't be the case..
