It is a regular directory, but / makes difference in window machine's
browser as:

http://ip_number/web_dir/ works, but

http://ip_number/web_dir does not work.

Further I observed that http://ip_number get changed to http://ip_number/
on pressing enter, but no / is added for http://ip_number/web_dir in
windows IE, while browsers under linux append / at the end of
subdirectories also.

I thing this was the difference of only "/" to be entered by user of
window m/c. But can make visitors from windows m/c irritate and make them
to blaming adminstrator of web server. So, I guess there must be some
solution or way to be implemented by adminstrator of linux web server to
avoid such blamimg.
