Did you specified descrete values like 31.5,38.5 etc. in XF86Config? Don't do
that. Just put ranges for horizontal and vertical syncs.
For philips 105E at my home it reads like 31-57 for vertical and 60-120 for
horizontal. These ranges are in monitor manual too.There is a table of limits of
monior abilities. You will find the necessary figures there..
