When you want a single processor, you'd generally ask for a boxed
processor. When you want a large number of processors, say a 1000, then
you'd ask for tray processors. You'd get tray processors for a cheaper
price since you're (or your dealer, in your case) buying in bulk.

Both are essentially the same.... but I can't answer the question about
which one you should opt for. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the
warranty for the processors between tray vs. boxed.... so check that out
before you buy.
