Try moving back on the kernel version/ac series
OR
move forward on the ac series.

Not all -ac are stable.

Check the lkml for issues reported by other for the -ac8.

Also try using a stock Linus kernel.

The problem might be temporary (due to the kernel)

If you still get hangs, then you might try checking your memory with
memtest86 or similar tools before deciding who the culprit is.

My guess is the kernel (especially if you recently moved to -ac8)
