Hi suresh,

did not happen.
lets go once again

system redhat linux 6.2 ship with a pcquest mag
sendmail version 8.9.3-20
domain : mycompany.com
ip of our sendmail server on lan 110.110.110.75 eslab75
users available on eslab75
    kunal
    sandeep
(both have external email as [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED])
user not available on eslab75 but still have email account
like [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Using eslab75(110.110.110.75) as smtp server
if i send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and cc to [EMAIL PROTECTED], it
delivers first internally and second externally.
if i send the mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] cc to [EMAIL PROTECTED], it gives
error user unknown.

now as you told me, i put an entry in virtuusertable as

[EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
but it did not work.
i think this is not a right entry as i do not understand the word
[EMAIL PROTECTED] fully.

suresh,
you are assuming that [EMAIL PROTECTED] can be reached as something like
mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] how can i find out what
is the exact values here?

I have a couple of doubts,
I dont think we have virtual web hosting. We have static ip for
mycompany.com
secondly, coming to method viabhav suggested, how should i get what is
primary MX for mycompany.com?

-kvs
