hello all,
i have been posting to this life saver service, for sometime but couldnt
manage to get much help. i guess it was my excessive usage of abbreviations
or typos or something.. but i guess now that i am aware of it, i am going to
give it another shot.
i have a linux box doing NAT with squid and an addblocker. This is where i
dial in to the ISP and i have it also working as a terminal server with
proper X running on other dumb terminals. The printer attached to this linux
box works fine with all the other machines including windows 2k machines (i
am using samba, ofcourse)
but i have an inkjet printer installed on the windows machine, which is
shareable by all windows machine and works fine, however the linux box and
the terminal clients arnt able to print to it.
when a command is issued from a linux machine to print, i can see the file
spooling the spool dir as mentioned in the printcap file, but it doesnt
print. the file is removed after sometime, this shows that my printcap file
should be allright.
i used printtool to configure printcap, i selected smbprintshare. and also
gave the ip of the machine which has the printer.
i would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this.
thanks a lot.
keep up the great work
