#Is there some way to have a table with 4 columns and 6
#rows, and each cell has one sub_fig.eps to have 24 figures
#on a page of A4 size.
#

The following arranges 6 eps files in one A4 page.

Wow, 24 figs., that needs some doing :-) Depends on the size of the figs
also....

\begin{figure}
\centering
\mbox{\subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}\quad
      \subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2b.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}}\\
\mbox{\subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2c.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}\quad
      \subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2d.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}}\\
\mbox{\subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2e.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}\quad
      \subfigure[]{\epsfig{figure=plot2f.eps, width=.35\textwidth}}}
\caption{Reduced maps of the 6 cases.}\label{figs3.2}
\end{figure}

For your conversion problem you can use `ps2epsi'.
