Well its fairly for a linux user to install FreeBSD .
FreeBSD I think has the coolest way to install itself.
You can install it over the net ! (if u have the bandwith)
I once did it and it is really cool.
U dont neet to format your disk, just partition it and FreeBSD can use your 
linux swap partition.
I dont have the required links right now , but would give them as soon as I 
find (where the hell I backed up my bookmarks file).
If u r really intrested its easy.
Just give a look to freebsd.org I think the manual they have is sufficient.
