Try a text based install, or a text expert install. 

Then shift to another screen with ctrl-alt-f1, ctrl-alt-f2 etc (or alt f1,
alt f2, depends), and see if there's any debug info / error messages being
thrown.

Search google for that - maybe because of a quirk in your hardware you'll
need to download a separate bootdisk, or pass a config parameter to the boot
loader etc.

Caldera is (or was, when I last saw it - v 2.4 - which was more or less equal
to rh 6.2) very picky about what hardware (display cards etc) it supports.
