The name of the startup file varies depending on the shell - csh and tcsh uses .login, bash, ash, ksh and zsh use .profile. When using bash, ash, ksh or zsh, don't forget to export the variable. _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
