I am new to GIMP , and find that my pictures are not 100% clear. I am speaking about the .jpg-s and .bmp-s from the Net. In addition , I can not open gif format pictures in GIMP.
When I was speaking about the clarity of the BMPs and JPGs, it is about the clarity and also about the spotty appearance. How can I make my GIMP provide the same (or even better) quality than does Windoze ? Do we have to look at what configuration I have done for my XWindows ?
