hey

i've faced the same problem a few days back....
here's what i did finally to solve it... not a
solution really .. just a turn around....

i removed my hard disk and took it to a friends place
who also had RH 7.2 Installed with EXT3 FS....
connected my HDD to his computer as secondary hard
disk and mounted it after booting from my friends RH
7.2

after mounting, i edited /etc/fstab to remove the line
which refers to mounting my VFAT partition (MS
Windows)
saved /etc/fstab and brought back the HDD to my
comp...
wholla !! everything back to normal....
and remember .. dont add ur MS WINDOWS partition to
the fstab file.... u'll have to mount it manually
everytime u switch on ur comp..... or put it in a
script or .bashrc or something...

anyways.. hope this helps...

regards
Satsco.
