As far as I know, pop3 is not designed in a way that you can "push"
mails into the user's mailboxes ...maybe IMAP can be of help to you ....
More insights anyone ????

Subject: [LIH] Help...Urgent!!!!

Hi all,

We are in the process of setting a mail server for our company. So
we've decided to use Postfix as our mail server. I have gone thru the
postfix documentaion and unable to find POP3 functionality. ie, Is it
only a smtp daemon???..if so what we need to configure for receiving
mails...??
Now we are using microsoft exchange server, pushing
the mails to the respective mailboxes - personal folders automatically.
We don't want to disturb the current oprating scenario.. So pls guide
me how to push mail to the clients using POP3 instead of pressing
send/recive button in the mail client to receive mails.

pls provide a solution..
Thanks in advance

Regards

manoj
