Sometime on Jan 13, newlxuser assembled some asciibets to say:

> Is it possible to tranfer an image thru mutt or other shell based

Yes. Through an attachment.

> I do'nt expect that the graphic will be visible in mutt, I expect

huh??? what kind of security is that? how do attachments of images
make a message insecure?

Still, if you don't want to send it as an attachment, then use something
like uuencode to encode the image. That will create a text file for
you. You just paste that text file into the mail body. When the person
receives the mail, he just runs uudecode on it - no need to remove only
the relevant parts, because uudecode can figure out where to start from.
