The default entry should have an IP address...so that the machine(client) knowns where to send the packet.In your case,it does not have.. Whether NAT functionality is enabled on the Linux machine(which has Internet connection).?Then only, all the machines,behind the server will be able to perform all the operations, as the machine which is directly connected to the internet.
