AFAIK, there are no console based apps to "handle" M$ Word or Star Office Docs. I use antiword or mswordview to view Word files (not of much use for Office 2k though). No console app creates M$ Word/ StarOffice files. Under X, abiword does a pretty decent job of 9x Word files.In case the requirement is to transfer your own work from your workplace to home save the Word file as RTF, and use abiword, or ted, or your preferred WP to deal with it. Star Office on Win and Linux use the same output format, and can be used. Just my 2p ...
