Typing "pine" resulted in segmentation fault. On reboot
worked fine ( reminded MS Windows ). What could be the
reason. Virus, H/W fault or some thing else....

How to find it. I am using PCQ RedHat 7.1

A few day earlier, I got message:

"Error while loading shared libraries:/lib/libproc.so.2.0.7:
unsupported version 65280 of verneed recods"

on issuing 'ps' or 'uptime' command and on trying 'top'
command it resulted in segmentation fault. On exiting any
user, screen failed to show login prompt. Shutdown and
poweroff broadcast message but fail to shutdown. Ultimately
I have to switchoff the system.

On restart It ask for manual fsck. I did. After that it
started without starting any service. On poweroff or
ctrl+alt+del, it fail to reboot. It show nothing, after
displaying:

Swithing to runlevel: 6, sending process the TERM signal,
cannot execute "/etc/rc.d.rc" , No more processes left in
this level.
