Hi All!

I have Redhat 7.1 installed and configured the printers with Redhat
printtool (aka printconf-gui) and are working fine. However, recently I
have started print accounting and would like to describe some filtering
action in the default printer (in this case lp0). But this has be done
via the file /etc/printcap.local as in Redhat 7.1 onwards, the
/etc/printcap file is rewritten during a lpd restart.

My problem is to define the printer in the /etc/printcap.local (say lp1)
as the default printer (so that one can print to this just by "lpr"
instead of saying "lpr -Plp1". This CANNOT be done through "printtool"
as printtool does not show the printers in the /etc/printcap.local file
only includes them in a lpd startup. Any help would be highly
appreciated.
