The problem is that you are using outlook express, which moronically
interprets anything beginning with begin as a uuencoded attachment.
Throw it in the dustbin, where it belongs, and start using pegasus mail or
something similar.

A second tier of password protection can be had with LILO.
Edit /etc/lilo.conf as root. Put following after "prompt"
statement:
restricted # Then save the file and do a
password=xxxxxxxx # chmod 600 /etc/lilo.conf
Re-initialise LILO with /sbin/lilo -v.
