Hi, I have installed xerces-J parsers for XML in PCQRHL. After setting the classpath and path env.variables correctly I am not able to run the sample examples.I have installed j2sdk1.4.0 that came on PCQ CD few months back.
When I execute the following command: java sax.SAXCount data/persoanl.xml (This is well documented at (http://xml.apache.org) it gives me ClassNotFoundExeception for SAX parser.When I expanded the xerces.jar that is in directory xerces-1_4_4 (which got created during Xerces-J-bin..zip installtion) It has this class file. i am surproised to see that the java virtual machine is not able to get this class. This works perfectly OK in MaDK8.0 where I used the same j2sdk1.4.0 and Xerces-J-bin..zip for installtions. I have done correct settings of PATH,CLASSPATH variables in .bash_profiles and in /etc/ld.so.conf and than ran /sbin/ldconfig. Should I do claening of my java installtion in RHL and then reinstall it and then try.Well my other java applications are running quite fine in PCQRHL. So pl. guide me reagrding this.
